Every custom project at Cedro begins with a vision. For Nashville-based designer Hans Lorei, a sauna was never just a backyard addition; it was a five-year dream to create a "sacred experience." The goal was to build a sanctuary entirely separate from the demands of work and daily life—a place where phones are left behind, slippers are put on, and the only objective is decompression.
In In helping Hans realize this architectural vision, our design team recognized a powerful new aesthetic language emerging. The combination of saturated tones, fluted textures, and organic warmth was too compelling to remain a one-off.
This project became the inspiration for our newest design line: The Forest.
The Sensory Elements of ‘The Forest’
Inspired by the immersive atmosphere of our recent custom builds, The Forest collection focuses on the interplay of light, shadow, and tactile luxury:

Saturated Materiality: Moving away from standard, light-colored woods, this theme leans into the vibrant, deep tones of Thermo Wood. It creates a "moody" interior that immediately calms the nervous system.

Architectural Fluting: We utilize Fluted Thermo Pine to add a tactile, rhythmic quality to the walls that catches the light and deepens the sense of being in a private woodland retreat.

The "Floating" Sanctuary: To maximize the perception of space, the theme features our signature Floating Bench System with magnetic, detachable skirting for the bottom bench only - blending high-end design with the practical need for effortless maintenance.

Sculptural Performance: The theme is anchored by the HUUM Drop heater, a wall-mounted piece of functional art. Integrated with mobile-enabled controls, it allows you to heat your sanctuary remotely so it is at perfect temperature the moment you step inside.
