We curated the HeatWave collection to provide a diverse range of infrared wellness solutions, from compact 1-person Hemlock units to expansive 6-person Western Red Cedar retreats. Utilizing InfraWave FAR carbon heating technology, these saunas are engineered to deliver deep, therapeutic warmth with ultra-low EMF emissions. We prioritize HeatWave for their intuitive EZ-Touch digital controls, integrated chromotherapy lighting, and "buckle-together" assembly that makes professional-grade infrared therapy accessible for any residential indoor space.

  • InfraWave FAR Technology: We utilize high-surface-area carbon panels that emit long-wave infrared heat, specifically tuned to penetrate muscle tissue for effective detoxification.
  • Premium Wood Grade Selection: Our collection features both "A" Grade Reforested Western Red Canadian Cedar for its natural rot resistance and Hemlock for an odorless, hypoallergenic alternative.
  • Ultra-Low EMF Engineering: We prioritize carbon panels designed with shielded wiring to minimize electromagnetic frequency exposure, ensuring a safe environment for daily sessions.
  • Comprehensive Integrated Amenities: Every HeatWave unit comes standard with ergonomic backrests, oxygen ionizers to maintain air purity, and Bluetooth or MP3-compatible sound systems.
  • Holistic Chromotherapy: Most models feature 7-color LED lighting systems, allowing you to customize the visual atmosphere to support stress relief.
  • Tool-Free Modular Assembly: We provide these as partially pre-assembled kits that utilize a simple latch-and-buckle system, allowing two adults to complete installation in approximately one hour.

Most Common Questions About HeatWave Infrared Saunas

HeatWave saunas are designed for residential simplicity, but they have specific electrical and environmental requirements. The FAQs below clarify the technical needs for outlets, wood maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Does the HeatWave Sonoma 3-Person sauna need a special outlet?

No. We have verified that the Sonoma 3-Person model is engineered to operate on a standard 120V/15A household outlet. However, because it pulls approximately 1,600 to 1,800 watts, we must ensure that no other high-draw appliances are active on that same circuit.

Does the HeatWave Majestic 4-Person sauna require 240V?

No, but it does require a specific 20A circuit. While the unit remains at 120V, its 9 carbon heaters pull over 2,200 watts. We require a dedicated 120V/20A circuit equipped with a NEMA 5-20R (T-blade) outlet for safe operation.

What is the difference between the HeatWave Yukon and Sonoma?

The primary difference is the wood species. We utilize Canadian Red Cedar for the Yukon, which is highly aromatic and naturally resistant to rot. The Sonoma utilizes Hemlock, which we recommend as an odorless and more cost-effective alternative.

Are HeatWave "InfraWave" carbon heaters low EMF?

HeatWave markets their InfraWave FAR technology as ultra-low EMF. Based on US independent testing, we find that while the center of the carbon panels is extremely low, detectable EMF levels may still exist near the wiring junctions and the roof-mounted control box.

How long does it take for a HeatWave sauna to reach 141°F?

In a standard indoor environment of 70°F, we find that these units take approximately 30 to 45 minutes to reach their maximum operating temperature of 141°F.

Can we assemble a HeatWave sauna alone?

We do not recommend solo assembly. While the "buckle" system is straightforward, the glass door and roof sections are quite heavy. We suggest having at least two adults present to safely hold panels in place.

Can the HeatWave Sonoma be used outdoors?

No. We must emphasize that all HeatWave saunas (including Sonoma and Yukon) are strictly for indoor use. Placing these units outdoors will void the 5-year warranty as they are not weather-sealed.

Why are some carbon panels cold in my HeatWave sauna?

This usually indicates a loose connection. We recommend lifting the roof dust cover and checking the white plastic molex connectors. Often, one of these has vibrated loose and simply needs to be clicked firmly back into place.

Where is the fuse located in a HeatWave sauna?

If your control panel is unresponsive, we recommend checking the internal glass fuse. This is located inside the power supply box on the roof. You will need to unscrew the metal lid of the roof-mounted box to inspect the 15A or 20A fuse.

Does the HeatWave "Majestic" (4-person) have a different plug?

Yes. Due to the 18A+ draw, the Majestic requires a NEMA 5-20R outlet. This is characterized by a horizontal "T" slot on the neutral side. Most standard US homes may require a simple outlet upgrade by an electrician to accommodate this.

Can we use the HeatWave Sonoma in a garage or basement?

Yes, provided the area is dry. We advise caution because Hemlock wood is not rot-resistant; the ambient temperature should ideally stay above 50°F so the 120V heaters can reach their maximum therapeutic temperature.

What is the "E1" or "EO" error code on my HeatWave display?

These codes signify a temperature sensor error. We find this most commonly occurs when the thin wire probe on the wall has become disconnected. We recommend checking the pin connection on the back of the interior keypad.
