Meet the team
These are the people who answer the phone, pack your order and build your sauna. Most of us are in Cookeville, and a few work with us from farther away. We're all committed to the same core principles and to delivering the best sauna experience to our clients.
The owners
Tim and Laura Marbach
Tim and Laura bought The Sauna Place in 2023 with the goal of building a legacy family business and the premier destination for saunas and sauna supplies in the U.S. Since then, they've led the company to record growth, expanded our local and regional footprint, and created an environment where our in-house craftsmen and team can truly shine and grow.

What it's like to work here
We sell saunas, we build saunas, and we use saunas. The sauna village is open to the team, and we encourage everyone to use it. We also hold team lunches with company updates every two weeks, team events every quarter, and an annual barbecue and holiday party.
We don't just play hard, though. At our core we're builders: we're building saunas, building experiences for our customers, or building systems that make it all easier. We're a high-performance, owner-led team. We set high expectations and lofty goals, and we hold each other accountable for hitting them. We take giving our customers the best sauna experience and support seriously, and keeping that standard across the team as we grow is critical to our long-term success.
