Our visit to the factory in Estonia changed everything for us. We experienced what a real löyly session should feel like—and it ruined all the other "hot boxes" we’ve seen. The Heart of the Sauna: Finnish Design

Everything comes down to the ‘Löyly Tasku’—the löyly pocket. It's not marketing fluff; it's the fundamental principle of Finnish sauna. This is the space above the heater's stones where the heat and steam perfectly balance, surrounding your entire body. To achieve this, we designed a 3-tier, L-shaped bench system so your feet are always above the stones. You're fully inside the pocket. You're not just heating your head and shoulders, you are immersed in a deeply penetrating, transformative heat from head to toe. This is the difference. It's why we also insisted on a proper "löyly buffer"—the space above the door that traps the best steam inside when you enter or exit. No buffer, no real sauna.

The Lungs of the Sauna: Airflow & Longevity

You can't have good löyly without good air. Stagnant, CO₂-heavy air is the fastest way to ruin a session, leaving you feeling dizzy and drained. It's a rookie mistake, and most kits make it.

We developed a state-of-the-art mechanical ventilation system to solve this. The intake vent pulls fresh, oxygen-rich air directly to the base of the heater, mixing it into the rising thermal plume for air that feels alive. Simultaneously, a mechanical exhaust pulls out CO₂ and equalizes the temperature from floor to ceiling. When you're done, this system dries the sauna out completely, preventing the mold and rot that destroys lesser saunas over time. It’s about performance now, and performance twenty years from now.

Ambience and Privacy, Mastered

A sauna is a sanctuary. It must feel like one. That’s why we chose full-width privacy glass for the entire front—you can see out perfectly, but outsiders only see a reflection of themselves. Total discretion. At night, three exterior LEDs under the overhang illuminate the front, maintaining that privacy while creating a stunning visual. Inside, we put 60 feet of dimmable interior LEDs behind the backrests and under the bench. You control the mood. Make it bright and social, or dim it down for deep, meditative relaxation.

We chose the Löyly Original to be powered by this heater for a few key reasons. First, it reliably heats the sauna to 110°C / 230°F with even, consistent warmth. Second, the steam it produces is exceptionally soft and pleasant. And third, its high thermal mass from 551 lbs of stones maintains heat even while running our advanced mechanical ventilation system.
