No. HUUM heaters are smart-ready components. To operate your heater, you pair it with a UKU Control System. Three options: Local (basic), WiFi (app control), or GSM (cellular). This modular approach lets you choose the connectivity level that fits your lifestyle. Every electric HUUM model requires a UKU controller.

The DROP (4.5–9kW) mounts to the wall. Saves floor space. Ideal for home saunas prioritizing elegance and minimal footprint. The HIVE Mini (6–10.5kW) stands on the floor and carries significantly more sauna stones. That means softer, more sustained löyly steam. Both work with the UKU control system. If your sauna room can fit a floor-standing unit, the HIVE Mini produces noticeably better steam. That's the trade-off.

The HIVE Mini (6–10.5kW) covers home saunas up to 530 cubic feet. Same floor-standing design, same steam quality, smaller footprint. For most residential builds, the HIVE Mini is the right choice.

HUUM provides a 5-year limited residential warranty on the heater shell and components. Heating elements and sauna stones are consumable items not covered, as their lifespan depends on usage frequency and water quality. That is another reason we recommend the annual stone audit for long-term reliability. Restack the stones once a year. Takes about 30 minutes and protects your investment.

Safety feature. HUUM heaters include a high-limit heat sensor. If the internal temperature exceeds safe limits, often due to restricted airflow or settling sauna stones, the sensor trips to prevent damage.
