    No complaints with Cilindro

    I bought the 9kw Harvia Cilindro heater for my sauna that measures approximately 7x6x8 feet. After ton of searching and looking at reviews I decided to oversize my heater slightly to ensure the operating temperature is where I wanted it to be. This heater has no problem getting my sauna to 190°+ in less than an hour. It also isn’t difficult to turn down to reach cooler temperatures if needed. Installation was simple but a little tricky with how tight the sauna is. Mounting it in place took the help of 1 additional person to stabilize while it was placed on the mounting plate. I was able to install 4 boxes Harvia sauna rocks of the 6 boxes that I ordered. I felt like I placed these rocks very densely and was shocked when it was full after only 4 but have no issues with loyly. It seems to have an appropriate amount of thermal mass. Great service and fast shipping from the sauna place.

    Cilindro 6B Perfection

    Purchased the Cilindro 6B (built in controls). The free stones make it a no brainer. Everything works perfectly. My homemade/DIY sauna is 5'x7' with a 7'2" ceiling. Upper bench 42" from ceiling and lower bench just a few inches below the top of the heater. Fully insulated with rockwool. The sauna heats up in about 30-40 minutes. Was worried about built in controls vs. Wifi, but the sauna is too far away for wifi to work. The controls have not been an issue at all. Set it to come on for one hour, the sauna is ready in roughly 30-45 minutes. Because of the large rock volume, it stays hot for a long time after it shuts off. If we are doing a long session or pouring lots of löyly, we just set it for a other hour. Have not had any of the supposed issues with the Cilindro not getting hot enough. We don't have it set to "max" because it will be too hot. If your sauna is insulated and vented properly I just do see how this can be an issue. I have a vent near the floor directly beside/behind the heater to provide it fresh cool air, and another vent on the opposite wall under the upper bench. Absolutely no regrets with this purchase.
