After so much research, I finally have my custom built 6x7x8 sauna. I was pretty set on the Harvia Cilindro. I wanted something with a small footprint and plenty of stones. There's the IKI Pillar, but wow is that thing expensive, plus you have to buy the WIFi controller for another ~$1250. So that wasn't realistic. And I thought about the HUUM Drop, but more expensive than this one and through my research, found too many negatives. Thought about the Harvia KIP, but I wanted more stones. So now I was deciding between the 8kw and 9kw because they always say just get the bigger one. But even with my windows, I felt the 9kw was overkill for my cubic feet of space. I am so glad I chose the 8kw because my sauna gets hot quickly, about 3-40 mins and you could go in there and enjoy the rise in temperature. But if you waited about an hour, then you're set. And this is in the 40 degree weather in the PNW. I had to turn the temperature down because it got so hot, still at 180 degrees. I think I need to move the thermostat higher. But it's also a very well built sauna. I also thought about the WIFI version, but the built-in controls are perfectly fine and I don't need a WIFI heater. I can just turn the knob real quick.
This heater packs a lot of stones, and the steam is amazing. You can just pour and pour all you want to create your Löyly. It really is a sauna bath. Pair it with a cold plunge and you are ready to treat your body nice.
